Well, you know what happened in Greece, don't you? Too many days off. Seriously, I think we are getting shafted.

A 'day off' in Greece would be pretty sweet. Then again I haven't worked a summer in 25 years so I am spoiled.

Wait, you get less than we do? I didn't know that was possible.

That disturbs me too.

Me neither. I thought the US was way ahead of you in working the middle and lower class as long as possible and squeezing that money right back again.

You see those days off in Canada's bar graph? Those are all Cal's! He's throwin' off the damn curve! Truth is we work even harder than that graph would have you believe.

I hope you're happy, Cal. Canada works hard so you don't have to!

Am I happy?

I only can answer that question with this poem by William Ernest Henley

Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds and shall find me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.
