No matter how much you try to dress them up to look like us they will never be us. We can't trust them to ever have our best interests at heart.
Each of our preferred environment is hostile to the other. They live on the bottom of the sea and we live under a tiny bubble of air on the crust. Our differing environments should be a hint that maybe we weren't meant to interact with these deep sea monsters. No cultural exchanges between both species should be happening on a regular basis.
You would think that such a intelligent predator would be content with 7/10ths of the planet to roam around in but that is never enough with them. Stupid entitled tentacled bastards.
Enjoy your 'top of the food chain' status for as long as you can suppress your natural curiosity about us. Come up to the surface and we will let you know how we do things around here.

You haven't seen a PREDATOR until you have seen what a human is capable of. We really are the last species you want to be messing with.
You say you want a revolution? Start by dominating the squirrels before you come after the big dogs. Humans don't even like EACH other for stupid reasons like skin color, language and religion - so what kind of first impression do you think you make? You are easy for us to hate because you are creepy and dangerous. All those adaptations that protect you from becoming prey mean shit on land. You light show is just making you an easier target for us to hit.
We eat ugly animals all the time. What makes you think you are special? There are places in the orient that make a Octopus Soup that is to die for. I like the way they serve the soup hot and the tentacles remain wriggling. Thank you Iron Chef.
That reminds me. I want to go to the oriental food store soon. They have octopus flavored chips there that are awesome with spinach dip.
