This Is Why I Love 'The Daily What'

I just can't improve on the weirdness of this story. Go to see the other misfit creatures at the link. I can only bear to post this one. Imagine if this freak got the same thrill out of doing this to people...exotic people?

What Hath Taxidermy Wrought of the Day: Mad taxidermist Enrique Gomez De Molina of Miami is facing up to five years behind bars and up to a quarter million in fines for importing body parts of rare and exotic animals to create a series of creepy hybrid sculptures.

The Magic City’s very own Dr. Franken-Testa apparently never bothered to obtain permits to import the skins and cadavers of the animals he used in his “creations,” instead opting to have accomplices smuggle cobras, hornbills, pangolins, and other endangered species by wrapping them in carbon paper.

Two of his sculptures recently sold at a local art fair for $100,000.

De Molina claims he is was just trying to raise awareness of the dangers associated with genetic engineering, but pleaded guilty to the charges just the same.

His sentencing will take place on March 2.
